HTML Simple URL Structure
When you design website related to any idustry your one of the requirement must be that people can easily find it. Well, it’s not that easy. To find any website easily your website must be rank well into search engines like google.com, bing.com, duckduckgo.com these are top famous engines.
There are many factors involve in website ranking but one factor that is important too is clear and easy to read URL structure.
Consider using punctuation in your URLs. The URL http://www.example.com/blue-dress.html is much more useful to us than http://www.example.com/bluedress.html. We recommend that you use hyphens (-) instead of underscores (_) in your URLs.
Google views hyphens in URLs as word separators while an underscore in your url will not be recognized. This means using hyphens makes it much easier for Google to figure out what a page is about. For example, a URL containing the phrase “my_page” would be interpreted as “mypage” instead of “my page”.
You can read more about it on following URLs.
